I love to draw giraffes, so I was very excited about this I-Fri topic.
I ordered a book on Photoshop this week, I am looking forward to getting some guidance on cleaning up my images as my scanner tends to add too much shadow and texture to my images....this becomes very obvious when printing.
Hope you all are having a great week!

This is darling! I love it!
Too cute! Love them! Same here with the scanning part...i don't think there is any one specific way to keep the shadowing out. I have to edit every time differently. Hope the book helps & there are loads of tuts out there to help. Good Luck! They turned out really cute!
The trick is not to use cold-pressed paper. It has too much texture, and the scanner picks up too much of the surface detail. What you need to find is HOT PRESS watercolour paper. It is ironed completely smooth, and won't give your scanner any feedback. It's funny that no one tells illustrators this, but it is such a helpful tip.
Love your illustrations! Really sweet.
